Halloween Craft: Paper Bats

I made this craft at school:

It's really easy to make.  Just use the pattern below to start.  The pattern should fit on a normal sized piece of paper.  If you have thicker paper, it's probably best, but any kind will work.

You don't even have to use that exact pattern.  You can just use it for an idea if you want.  Anyway, you color it and cut it out.  The top part with the bat head you roll into a cylinder and glue it together.  The wings you glue onto the back of the cylinder to attach them.  It's a little bat decoration!

A Present for the Easter Bunny

I wanted the Easter Bunny to bring us a little something extra.  I hope that this Easter Bunny has some animal friends that may like bird seed.  I think that the Easter Bunny will take this as a deal:

I'm gonna fill the bottles with bird seed so the Easter Bunny can take the sign and show his friends and share the bird seed.  If you don't have bird seed, you can use any kind of food.  But don't use human food cause it won't fit in the containers.

Since it's Earth Day today, I decided to reuse some plastic containers so I won't throw them away.

I started by making the sign.  I wrote kind of block words so he could read it a little bit better.

I colored it in so it would be nice in a spring kind of a way!  Then I taped it to the bottles so it would be kind of a sign and it also has food!  I think that this will be a good craft because it's Earth Day and then it won't liter.  Plus it's good for Easter in 2 days!

mother's day card

I made this card for my mom.  You can make this card for anyone!

First, get tape, glue, glitter, yarn, and construction paper.  Fold your piece of paper in half.

Cut the yarn into 1-2 inch long pieces.

Tape the yarn pieces along the edge of the paper.  (The unfolded edge).  This gives the card a little extra something special!

Spread glue all around.  You can do it in a design, or just random, like this.

Sprinkle with glitter, and shake off the extra.  Now you've got a great decorated card for someone!

Here Comes the Penguin...I Mean Bride!

Munchkin made 2 penguins at school...one she brought home before Christmas break, the other she brought home 3 days ago. What better way to bring those sweet penguins together than to marry them? She fashioned the "dress and veil" for the blushing bride, and I thought it was quite crafty:

A LOVEly Purse!

We decided to make purses last week. Really easy; just cut out two pieces of construction paper into heart shapes, punch holes around the edges, and "sew" the two pieces together using yarn. It's sure to be the hit accessory this coming season...just look at Munchkin!

Bucket Fillers

Ever read the book Fill A Bucket? If not, it's a must read. It teaches children and adults about being kind to others by "filling their buckets". In honor of the bucket fillers, we decided to make our own paper buckets for filling. It was really easy! We simply cut out bucket shapes out of paper, colored and decorated them, and hung them up! Now we have a great reminder to be kind to each other, and we have fun trying to decide what we will do to fill someone's bucket. It's been fun to write down compliments and put them in each others buckets!

Random Painting

Here's Munchkin painting and glittering up some paper. We later cut the paper into strips and glued them onto a toilet paper cardboard ring to make pom poms!
